The government has urged leaders of Trade Unions to ask nurses and midwives to stop their strike as it looks around for resources
The group resorted to strike action after the Government failed to honor a presidential pledge for 129 billion shillings towards their lunch allowances
The matter was discussed last week and according to Government, it will provide 45 billion shillings in the next budget such that each can get 10,000 shillings for 22 working days and not 15,000/= as earlier planned
The state minister in charge of primary health care Dr. Joyce Moriku Kaducu says that the balance will be catered for in the 2022/202023 national budget.
Minister Kaducu Revealed this as she addressed Journalists at the Media center.
The president of the Nurses and Midwives Association Justus Kipalangati also addressed journalists on this matter that they have agreed with the government that they should proceed with their work as the government looks for a source of income in the next financial year 2022/2023.
