The Committee on Science Technology and Innovation led by the Deputy Chair Hon. Dr. Asiimwe Florence Akiiki had an oversight visit to Inspire Africa Coffee Project.
The members of the Committee toured the facility and were amazed and impressed by the different works, installations and outputs so far achieved.
The members observed the major challenges being constant and adequate electricity supply and Water. These two are key if the facility is to be effective in production.

This is a very huge state-of-the-art Project that is going to Change the Coffee Sector in Uganda and Africa in General. Adding value to Coffee comes with multiple products for sale within and abroad. Quality control in the production will be key in this regard.
The Project is manned by a very competent and Committed team of Engineers, Environmentalists, and Water Specialists headed by Nelson Tugume who is well-versed in the Coffee Sector. He recently graduated with a PhD in Coffee related discipline.
This multipurpose Project will be a game changer and after its completion, it will contribute to the balance of payments and trade within Africa and abroad.
The Project is also addressing the unemployment challenge by employing people from the area. With this Project Ntungamo and her people cannot remain the same.
Apart from Minerals Oil and gas, the Coffee Sector will not only increase our GDP but will also improve our Tourism Potential.
The equipment installation has gone a long way beyond 70% and the physical infrastructure is ensuing, too.
The facility is earmarked for commissioning by H.E the President of Uganda, in May 2025
