Kampala.
Territorial Police in Bulenga Wakiso district are on the hunt for a 42-year-old man by the name of Mwebingwa Daniel on counts of sodomizing a 38-year-old.
It alleged that Mwebingwa resident Bulenga cell, Nakabugo Parish, Wkiso sub-county in Wakiso district is accused of having sodomized a 38-year-old primary teacher a resident of the same village.
It’s revealed that the incident was reported at Bulaga police post by Twikireze Beatrice, the wife of the accused, and that it happened in the wee hours of 17 August 2022. She told police officers that she had all along suspected the husband of having a side dish, not knowing that he was sleeping with fellow men.
“I have been suspecting my husband of having an affair outside marriage but today I have followed him slowly on Boda boda until he entered one of the rentals in the area and since I wanted to know who was in the room I took some minutes outside but later I moved close and pushed the door which was unlocked only to find him naked with his best friend Martin Monday,” she said.
She further revealed to this website that she was shocked and palisade by the incident and this forced her to make an alarm that called the gathering which forced the Mwebingwa to escape through behind the back door as residents grabbed Monday into a mob and paraded him for burning who was later saved by police offers.
Police officers who rushed to the scene revealed that they will make the file which will be submitted to RCSA for perusal and advice on a preferable charge from the new Homosexuality Act.
President Museveni in May this year signed into law the anti-LGBTQ bill, the bill includes the death penalty for “aggravated homosexuality’ which provides for sex with a minor, having sex while HIV positive, and incest.
The bill also criminalizes sex education for the gay community and makes it illegal not to expose what it calls perpetrators of aggravated homosexuality to the police. It calls for “rehabilitation”– widely discredited conversion therapy – for gay offenders.
