NRM leaders in the Ibanda district on Wednesday launched an “NRM pressure group dubbed NRM yellow fighters” whose main intention is to galvanize support for NRM’s Presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni in the Ibanda district and the entire region.

With the tag NRM “our yellow our country”, the 50 youth were commissioned by Ibanda NRM district leaders that included among others, Ibanda Municipality NRM chairperson Winston Rutehenda Rwankore, Joverine Kariisa Kyomukama the Ibanda woman Mp and the district resident commissioner Eliasto Akatuhebwa at Palm gardens in Ibanda town.

Kiiza Milton the chairperson of the group said they have already started a mobilization campaign strategy in the region where they explain to the youth what the NRM government has done for them and the reasons why they should again vote for President Museveni.

According to Milton, President Museveni is a tested leader who can serve them better compared to ten other presidential candidates.

Akatuhebwa the RDC advised the teenagers to behave well and avoid joining bad groups and also promised that his office will support the group because it has focus.

“This group will supplement the efforts of the other NRM organs and structure as we look forward to securing more than 90% for president Museveni”. Noted Elaisto

Rutehenda the Ibanda municipality NRM chairperson thanked the youths who came up with that good idea of starting this saying it is a timely idea.

Rutehenda asked them to stick to the NRM party saying that the government is planning for them.

Denis Sande the group spokesperson said Ugandans have been fed with falsehoods of selfish opposition opportunists who are seeking power for their selfish interests and are determined to use all kinds of methods to frame the government.

“We are now going to be the ambassadors of the party and we shall target the youth to tell them the message of securing our future.”

Joverine Kaliisa the Ibanda woman Mp who contributed Shs 500,000 towards the group activities said they are happy for the initiative that is aimed at reaching out to the public, especially in the forthcoming elections. “It is an added advantage to our efforts.” She said.
