Igara East member of Parliament Micheal Mawanda has intensified his mobilization as pressure piles up on President Yoweri Museveni for the 2026 presidential bid from the MK group to unseat him.
Now Mawanda has embarked on luring members of Parliament from all political parties to join the Mk camp and abandon their parties come 2026.
Mawanda has started moving with the MK flag at Parliament reaching out to MPs pleading for them to shift their support to MK.
He was seen in the Parliament lobby and corridors moving with a flying MK flag seriously pleading with Bugiri municipality mp Hon.Asuman Basalirwa to accept his new political project.
Though President Museveni describes people like Mawanda as opportunists who want MK’s money, he is not ready to back off.
He said that Mk is the next president after the president However, some power brokers fear associating with Mk because he fails to take a bold decision to retire from the Army and join political space
