The hearing of the murder case of former businessman Henry Katanga, Katanga, who was found dead allegedly shot at his home on Mbuya Chwa 2 road in Nakawa Kampala on 02/11/2023, resumed on Friday High Court before Judge Rosette Comfort Kania

The prosecution witness DSP Akongo Bibiana who led investigations on the case on Friday faced a hard time to explain why some of the evidence in the case including land titles, mobile phones and cash wasn’t made provided to court.

On Friday Police officer Akongo Bibiana, who is the 23rd witness in the case by the prosecution, was questioned by the defendants’ lawyers, Peter Kabatsi, Mcdusman Kabega, Jet Tumwebaze and Nelson Karuhanga on his testimony.

The defendants lawyers questioned the evidence provided by Bibiana on the murder weapon, where they alleged that all the ammunition in the alleged murder weapon was intact.

The defendants lawyers also rejected his testimony on the manner of how the late was murdered claiming that even though his statement shows that the alleged murderer was on top of the late , the bullet shows it hit the roof which proves they is no way the murder would have been on top of the late and if the case the bullet would have hit the ground instead of the cycling.

The defendants lawyers also asked him to explain about some of the evidence that was collected from the scene of the crime like land titles, phones, cash wondering why this valuable evidence wasn’t before court and if it still existed.

The witness informed the court that the items are still being kept at the police station until the case is determined, and they will get advice from the DPP on who should be handed over the items.

However, the defendants lawyers asked him to prove them to court as one way to prove if the Said items are still in their custody.

The defendants lawyers also asked the search certificate to be produced in court .

The case is set to resume next week with more witnesses
