The murder trial of former businessman Henry Katanga continues, with witness DSP Akongo Bibiana appearing visibly nervous after facing heavy criticism from the prosecution.
The High Court presided over by Justice Rossett Comfort Kannia is still hearing the murder case of former Kampala businessman Henry Katanga.
Prosecution lawyers Macdusma Kabega, Elson Karuhanga, and Peter Kabatsi continue to question the testimony of DSP Akongo Bibiana, the lead investigator, and point out inconsistencies in his statements.
They noted that in his report, Bibiana denied and omitted evidence that had been alleged by the accused, including statements from domestic worker George Amanyire and specialist doctor Charles Otai.
They also discovered that Henry Katanga's wife, Molly Katanga, had no firearms skills and knowledge and did not have a certificate or license to carry a firearm.
They gave him a gun to show them how it is used and he showed them that it is possible to shoot with different right and left hands.
They found that Bibiana gave evidence to the court that he should not have given because of his lack of experience in firearms.
