The word “deal” has in recent years culminated into a jargon that has dominated the economic, social, and political way of life worldwide. A few decades ago, the word was used by common people informally to transact dubious business. These people were literally seen as unreliable and evil courtesy of the businesses in which they were involved.
Surprisingly today, the word deal has thrived into a jargon that is being used by the most prominent, respected, revered, and influential people. Most of these are leaders of great nations like America, Russia, and China, to mention but a few.
In my opinion, when such leaders talk of striking deals in business and politics, the common people especially from less developed countries who cannot determine their political and business fate are rendered vulnerable and helpless. They are absolutely shaken by the uncertainties that may unfold.
By applying common sense, the jargon “deal” can never be wholesomely transparent, friendly, and harmonious in any way whatsoever. This jargon cannot help in conflict resolution. Instead, it refers to something profusely ironical. The aggrieved parties cannot be united by the use of this jargon.
Needless to say, is the vivid authenticity that there has been moral erosion and decay generation after another. Radicalism seems to be consuming moral etiquette and decorum. As aforementioned, the jargon “deal” might have been concocted to mean something until now incognito to serve the interests of a few rich, influential, and self-aggrandized world political figures at the expense of the poor, weak, and impoverished nations.
As I conclude, I wish to bring it to your attention that the world has trillions of people in existence. There were also many who existed before us one leaves this
world alive and no matter how much respect or wealth we accumulate, the end is vanity of vanities.
We live but once. What matters is our positive contribution while still alive; the number of lives we have touched! We all shall die. We have a little time to stay. Let us use that time bequeathed to us by God to mend our differences and reconcile with one another. Let us stop wars, create peace, and embrace harmony in the world. It’s disgustingly absurd for a wise man to die like a fool! No one can ever satisfy his selfish desire to feel great and important in this world. Let us be humble and meek as a way of preparing for our exit from this paradoxical and evil-filled world.
