The FDC party wants the government to reconsider the date for the reopening of schools saying that delaying the reopening complicates the situation further.
FDC says that the schools should be reopened next month and promotional exams conducted so that pupils and students can create space for the new batch.
Last week, President Museveni said that higher institutions of learning will reopen on the 1st of November and that all the other classes will do so in January next year.
The FDC Party spokesperson Ibrahim Semujju Nganda says that the plan to conduct learning in shifts will be too demanding on the few teachers.
This as he addressed the weekly party press conference
Nganda has also shared the FDC advice to the Government on how vaccination against COVID-19 can be scaled up to avoid the expiry of vaccines.
