The ruling National Resistance Movement Electoral Commission has declared Agnes Kirabo as the party’s official candidate for the Central Youth Member of parliament seat in the 2021 polls.
Kirabo, a former internal auditor at the NRM secretariat polled 212 votes to defeat her closest rival also Vice Chairman of the National Youth Council Safari Felix Kaihura who had 98 votes.
Kaihura was followed by Naava Nakibuule Mastulah who got 75 votes and Former television personality Justine Nameere who got 35 votes.
The declaration was made by the NRM Electoral commissioner Jane Alisemera Babiiha at the party headquarters last night.
Meanwhile, Nyamutoro Phiona, a former vice Guild President of Makerere University was also declared as the party’s flag bearer for the National Youth Member of parliament seat after defeating her closest rival Desire Muhoza.
