The government finally brings a report relating to the alleged kidnaps in the county indicating that it can only for 31 people out of the 44 who were allegedly kidnapped during elections.
The report follows a matter raised by Kira Municipality M,p Ssemujju Nganda following the disappearance of one Kato from the kireka market.
In a statement read by the Minister of Internal Affairs Jeje Odongo, he noted that some of the victims were arrested and are being investigated on crimes including abetting terrorism.
Odongo added that the investigations were ongoing to trace for the missing people.
In response to the minister’s statement, MPs Asuman Basalirwa Semujju Nganda, Muyanja Ssenyonga, and Joseph Sewungu called for investigations using avenues like street cameras among others.
