Dr. NINKUSIIMA JOHNPAUL –

Commonly referred to as Panadol among the constituents, Dr. John Paul Ninkusiima who is a pharmacist was born on August 18, 1979, in Ryamitamba cell, Mabona parish of Rukiri Sub County in Ibanda district. His parents are Sylvester Kafureka and Kebirungi Jesca. Dr. Ninkusiima is married to Kyokushaba Elizabeth, a dentist, and they are blessed with 6 children.

In 1994 he completed P7 at Mabona COU. He later joined Kitagwenda High school for O-level and St. Joseph’s Vocational school for A-level where he completed in 2000 having offered PCB/M.

In 2005 He joined Mulago Paramedical School for a diploma in pharmacy. He worked with Integrated Community Based Initiatives (ICOBI) in Sheema district and Ruhoko Health center IV in Ibanda district as a dispenser before joining Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) for bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy where he completed in 2015.

In 2016 held an internship with FortPortal regional referral –Buhinga, where he was retained as a hospital pharmacist in 2017. While here he developed an urge to join politics.

 In 2020 during NRM primaries he defeated Eng. John Byabagambi is the current Ibanda South MP who is also the Minister for Karamoja affairs. He has defeated four other contenders in the general elections to consolidate his win.

 He says will concentrate on implementing the NRM Manifesto and improving health and infrastructure as his main focus.
