Prince Emma who worked for almost every radio station in western Uganda as a sports presenter said that the reason why he joined the media industry was to make a name and become popular so that “the name and popularity” help him to promote his music.
According to him, Music has been his best dream but all long he has been fearing to join the most competitive industry before he does something that would market him to the media fraternity, promoters, and music lovers once he starts singing.
“I simply call Music a passion that drove me to the industry. The old school music made me love music and I had to pursue the Music”. Emma said.
He worked with Radio stations like Mercy FM, Rwenzori-Eiraka Radio, Greater African Radio, Voice of Kamwengye, Vision Radio, Endigyito FM among others all located in Western Uganda.

“There are so many artists especially in western region who have been in music for decades. Since then, they are still referred to as the upcoming artiste. I don’t wish to be among the upcoming when actually I can sit and write for my songs. My dream is to be different from others and make a difference by proving to the industry that you can still make wonders by rapping in Runyankole”. Prince Emma said.
All rappers that we have like Mun G, GNL Zamba, Gravity Omutuju, Navio are from the Central region and as Prince Emma, I want to raise the western region flag as the best rapper in the Western region.

On the issue of family support, Prince Emma said “I can’t say my family was so supportive to my music career because they don’t have any idea on how I started my music career. I left my family when I was a little boy and came to the streets of Mbarara. Since I came to Mbarara, I have been a father, mother, and all to myself so, no one should claim that he is behind my success”. Emma explained.
