The government chief whip Thomas Tayebwa warns Ministers and members of parliament from the ruling National Resistance Movement over skipping house business.

Tayebwa says some ministers and NRM MPs are known for missing committee meetings and Parliamentary plenary proceedings yet it is the core of their mandate as people’s representatives.

He says he is going to deploy a team of people on every committee to track the performance of individual Members for appropriate action to be taken on uncommitted MPs.

This at the office of the prime minister during the handover ceremony at the office of the Prime Minister as he took over from his predecessor Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu who was transferred to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.

For her part, The Outgoing Government Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu advises her successor to ensure that there is a cordial working relationship with MPs.
