NRM CEC appoints Workers’ MP Arinaitwe Rwakajara to Chair the Parliamentary Pension Scheme(PPS)

The central executive committee (CEC) of the National ResistanceMovement chaired by President Museveni has today appointed workers member of parliament   Arinaitwe Rwakajara as the chairman of the parliamentary pension scheme (PPS)
In the meeting that was held at Entebbe statehouse, Rwakajara was picked to supervise the parliamentary scheme worth 257.21 Billion shillings.
The Scheme started in July 2008 under the Department of Finance and Administration of Parliamentary commission with members of the Seventh Parliament and staff who existed in the Commission on permanent and pensionable terms.
The Pension Scheme Secretariat was established in 2009 with the engagement of the Pensions Manager. The 1st task was to establish the member Information Database and payout benefits due. It has since grown to 12 members of Staff.
Rwkajara has served as a commissioner of parliament for five years in the 10th parliament.
The CEC also appointed Rubanda district Woman MP Prossy Akampurira, Bukhooli county MP Solomon Silwany and Zombo district woman MP Esther Afoyochan as Commissioners of Parliament.
