The speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah cautions MPs against involvement in acts that abuse the law and rights of people.
Speaker Oulanya was responding to a call by Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Ngaanda for parliament to come to the rescue of the two MPs Mohamed Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana who were charged with murder and sent to Kitalya prison.
Nganda told parliament to take steps to have the two MPs released.
Speaker Oulanyah in his response says that apparently parliament can’t engage in the matter since court processes are going on but promises to visit them and have a talk with them.
