The administration and staff at Ibanda Kibubura Integrated Primary School have been lauded for providing holistic education to the learners of the school by giving them ample time to participate in co-curricular activities.
This was contained in a message delivered by Denis Ntare the Ibanda municipality Principal Education Officer during the speech day event held recently, well-wishers as well as other stakeholders of the school.
During this annual occasion, learners exhibit different talents through singing, drama, and showcasing fashion among others
According to Ntare, Children’s sports and play are linked to improvement in academic skills, classroom behavior, healthy emotional attitudes, and better adjustment to school life. He said that it is important, therefore, for schools to groom students in both academics and sports.
The same message was echoed by Betty Turyahabwe who represented Hon. Jovrine Kaliisa Kyomukama was the chief guest of the day. Kaliisa Kyomukama the deputy National coordinator of the Parish Development Model donated 1 million towards equipping beds to the newly opened girls’ hostel.
Meanwhile, the school head teacher Benon Kamu Atuzarirwe thanked parents and school management for their continuous support that has transformed the school to become the academic giant in the district.

Founded by COU in 1912, it is one of the oldest institutions in southwestern Uganda.
It is located half a kilometer on Ibanda – Kagongo road, Ibanda Cell, Kyaruhanga ward, Ibanda Municipality Ibanda District.
The school in the last one hundred and plus years has produced responsible and Productive men and women who have greatly contributed to the development of Ibanda and Uganda at large.
