President Yoweri Museveni emphasizes the importance of technology advancement through the teaching of science courses at universities.
He says the original mandate of the university was to produce more graduates with technology skills.
The Minister of education, Janet Kataha Museveni, also asked all higher institutions of learning to develop programs that support national social and economic transformation aspirations.
Minister Kataha says the government has invested in research and capacity development to contribute to innovation that will contribute to the economic development of the country.
President Museveni and the minister of education revealed this while presiding over the 17th graduation ceremony of Kyambogo University yesterday.
