Ministry of Education yesterday released the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education examinations 2022 with 99.2% of candidates qualifying for the award of the UACE.
Executive secretary Uganda National Examinations Board Dan Nokrach Odongo notes a decline in candidature despite the good performance adding that a total of 97,890 candidates registered for these examinations from 1,969 centers.

Odongo says that at the minimum two principal levels required for University admission, 70.3% qualify noting improvements in History, Economics, Entrepreneurship Education, Geography and Art, Mathematics, and chemistry recorded significant improvements at A pass level.
Performance in Biology has again dropped and examiners have attributed this to candidates having problems with questions on genetics and applications of biological concepts to the environment.
Odongo says that although female candidates where fewer they performed better than the male candidates
Odongo says that cases of examination malpractice remained low but noted some zero scores recorded in many papers.
