The speaker of Parliament Rebecca Alitwara Kadaga has joined the rest of the Ugandans to pay attribute to the fallen Ibanda Youth Chairman Godfrey Mugisha, who succumbed to covid 19 yesterday.
Now the speaker of parliament Kadaga though her Twitter handled to pass the message for the young NRM leader “I would like to pay tribute to young Godfrey Mugisha, Flag bearer for NRM Ibanda youth chairperson. he stood by me and companied valiantly for me for CEC NRM position. We had met and spoken much about his plans. May his soul rest in internal peace” she posted.
At the time of his death, Mugisha posted on his what’s up that “ Covid is real lets protect everyone and take necessary precautions as prescribed by the expert medical personel”.
Mugisha Godfrey has been born in Busheshe Division, Ibanda Municipality, Ibanda District.
He started his education at Bigyera Primary School where completed his Primary then he joined Ntare School for Ordinary Level then he joined Mengo Secondary School for Advanced Level and Later went to Kenya where he did a degree in Aviation Management.
Mugisha has been an elected District Youth Council Chairperson for Ibanda District and he had contested for Secretary for External Affair on National Youth Council but he never participated because, by the time the elections took place, he was already in the hospital.
