The legislator for Mwenge county in Kyenjojo district Hon Lawrence Akuguzibwe has requested the minister of internal affairs to investigate Kyecircumstances under which thieves are taking people’s animals in Kyagegwa the entire Toro region yet there are police officers and army enforcing curfew at night.
He added that the entire Toro region loses a lot of animals through thugs who invade their area at night and over 40 cows and goats have been taken in one month.
The speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga tasked the minister to address the house about the matter raised.
In response, the minister of internal affairs Hon Obiga Mario kania assured the house that he will investigate the matter and report to the house on Tuesday.
