Dakabela county Member of Parliament i Elotu Cosmas wants the government to give special attention to Soroti district in the fight against Covid-19.
While addressing a matter of national importance, Elotu informed parliament that there has recently been an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Soroti, with mothers and women being the most affected by the outbreak.
He says that the latest reports he has received from district authorities indicate that 24 people have been admitted to hospitals today and says that if nothing is done to curb the trend, Soroti is likely to become an epic center of COVID-19 in the country.
The government’s chief whip, Thomas Tayebwa, confirmed that they have received similar reports from the region.
