The Ministry of Health says they have undertaken several activities to prevent a third wave of Covid 19 and stop importation or emergence of new variants into the country.
In a report to the parliament health minister, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng says they are scaling up surveillance at different entry points including airport and land borders.
She also says they have set up mechanisms of early detection in institutions of higher learning that have already re-opened
Aceng also says they took lessons from challenges that emerged during the second wave and have now acted fast to minimize death and other challenges in the case of a third wave.
