In Hoima District, the race to parliament for woman Mp seems to be a walkover for the incumbent Harriet Busingye (baby Face ) at the eve of the polling date on January 14, 2021, fades out.
According to our sample of analytical series shows that Harriet Busingye is still ahead of Beatrice Wembabazi who also seems to be a strong competitor in the race as it stands of now and if elections were to be held to Harriet Busingye will win with 60% followed by Wembabazi Beatrice with 37% Independent, Nyamuhaibona Kiiza NUP 2% and Rehema Nabisera 1% FDC.
According to the respondents, we randomly asked the questions in different parts of the district about who they think should be their next area woman mp, about 6/10 would mention Busingye while 3/10 could mention Wembabazi, and 2/10 could mention Brigyet or Rehema or remain silent.
In the small trading centers where Busingye hasn’t reached people we spoke to still had hopes in her and promising to vote for her because they are sure that she will work for them since she went towards the end of this term as we captured their voices on Busingye Harriet:
