Kira municipality Member of Parliament who has also been the opposition whip Ibrahim Semujju Nganda says that he does not blame his colleagues in the opposition for not voting for him.
Semujju on Monday managed to obtain only 15 votes in the speakership race that was held at Kololo ceremonial grounds despite his political party having more than 30 members of parliament.
Semujju says that politics is a game where people have different interests which they want to achieve but says that after yesterday’s events it’s now a time for self-reflection.
Semujju has also advised the speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah not to turn parliament into a private estate and should follow the rules as stipulated or else they will start fighting him as well.
